Random Selections

In order to use these tools, you will need a copy of Mathematica 6.0 or newer. Note that version 6.0 or newer is absolutely necessary. These files will not work on older versions of Mathematica. 


I. Pre-Election Ballot Selection Tool.

   1. Download and open ballot_select.nb in Mathematica.
   2. Ensure that MeetingOneIn.xml is in the same directory.
   3. Ensure you have internet connectivity. Mathematica needs internet access to look up the stock prices.
   4. From the menu: Edit -> Select All
   5. From the menu: Evaluation -> Evaluate Cells
   6. The XML for MeetingTwoIn is displayed on the screen.
   7. The file MeetingTwoIn.xml is created in the same directory.


II. Post-Election Column Selection Tool.

   1. Download and open column_select.nb in Mathematica.
   2. Ensure that MeetingThreeOut.xml is in the same directory.
   3. Ensure that you have internet connectivity. Mathematica needs internet access to look up the stock prices.
   4. From the menu: Edit -> Select All
   5. From the menu: Evaluation -> Evaluate Cells
   6. The XML for MeetingFourIn is displayed on the screen.
   7. The file MeetingFourIn.xml is created in the same directory.
